Life is fleeting and has taught me many things. Respect others. Share your feelings. Never leave anything unsaid. My children are my most valuable legacy. Take risks. You can never laugh too much. A soul and a heart are for searching.

By nature, I'm a simple homebody looking for the same. I much prefer a quiet evening rather at home than a big fanfare. While I like to dress up to go out, I'm much happier in jeans and a gray tee shirt. I would like the opportunity to travel as resources permit.

I love to laugh and I love a good joke, dirty or clean. I like to watch thunderstorms and sunsets and sunrises and sitting on the porch drinking coffee. It's too bad that where I live there is no porch! I do love a glass of Chianti or Cabernet Sauvignon or a Corona.

Music is a crucial part of my life. My first love is classical music. I have a particular love of baroque and neo-classical. I have played the oboe since I was 16 years old. I have also played the clairnet, bassoon, saxophone, bass and guitar. I have dabbled in composition and would love to write something that I could perform.

I enjoy spending a lot of time in the kitchen. I like to bake cakes and bread and cookies. I enjoy making dinner too. I love to serve a turkey dinner or a large pasta meal or a stirfry.

Old movies are fun for me. You know the type, the black and whites Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, Cary Grant, Bette Davis.

I'm looking to meet a life partner who understands and reflects these values. You would have a stable job. You would have a direction in your life. You would understand that a relationship is built on shared values and interests and constant encouragement. You would have to be willing to develop a good relationship with my children, because they are a permanent part my life. You have to like simple things: like going for a walk hand in hand, going bowling, watching a good movie.

I want to come home to you at the end of my workday. I want to be able to kiss you and hug you and tell you that seeing you at the end of the day was anticipation realized. I want to tell you that holding you close at night when we go to bed is the best part of the day. I like to hold and be held. I like to touch and be touched. I believe that physical and emotional intimacy should be gentle.

I want someone who likes to laugh hard and who can take a good joke. I'm looking for someone who is as passionate about emotional things as he is about physical things, someone who has time to smell the roses and doesn't feel the need to buy the whole greenhouse to enjoy them.

Everyone has a type that they are attracted to. I love femme guys. I love guys who are shorter than me (I'm 6 feet tall) I love guys who are small framed even as far as being delicate. I a bit like you might be small enough that I could tuck you into my shirt pocket and take you everywhere with me. I am attracted to guys who are younger than me starting around age thirty. It would be interesting to have some one much younger than me. I am a baby boomer, it would be great to have someone who is from the next generation who would have a different world view.

I don't know who you are, I don't know where you are, but you are out there. I want us to come together and share life together.
