There is so much to learn about each and every person that you meet, it is almost impossible to describe, in a 4000 character limit description, everything about yourself. I can give the basics, like I am a student, and I go to USC, and I'm a computer science major. I can tell you that I am looking for someone special, someone to hold, to hug and kiss, to spend time with on lonely nights, to care for and be cared by, to love and be loved back... but does this really constitute for an all-encompassing description? Or is this just a way of getting your attention. A lot of people don't even read this... which is why a lot of people tend to keep this description short, or relatively blank.
