A wise man once said "Every man is three men. There is the man his Friends
think his is; there is the man He thinks he is, and the man he actually is.

Here is my best shot.

When I was boy growing up in the NJ suburbs I would stare at the white tiled walls
of the Lincoln tunnel as we would venture to Manhattan looking for the exact "NJ/NY"
border, filled with excitement at the wonders NYC had to offer. I went to college in
upstate NY and grad school in NYC, and for better or worse have never lived anywhere
else. I kind of knew that's how it would be. However, I am wise enough to know it is
a matter of personal
preference. I have traveled extensively, but have much more to do. Never been to
Africa, Russia or Scandinavia. Asia is a particular favorite of mine, and I love
spicy Asian food:Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Chinese, you name it.

My many good friends would describe me as loyal, compassionate,
self-deprecating, polite, but also given to frivolity and an appreciation for the
outrageous. My hobbies are going to the movies, especially historical movies (David
Lean), and I collect old silver which comes in handy for the occasional dinner
party. I like nice wines, especially when they are a great find. I work out
regularly. I am a little shy and require alone time now and then. I also enjoy the
humor of Chris Rock, Lewis Black and David Sedaris.


The type of guy I am looking for is kind, honest, smart, able to laugh at his own
foibles, tolerate mine, and keep to his part of this bargain: "I'll take care of
your heart, if you take care of mine".

Ultimately, isn't that what it is all about?
